Football Recap: Shadow Mountain Find Success + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against River Valley, Shadow Mountain was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the San Tan Foothills Sabercats 24-21. This was payback for the Matadors, who suffered a 29-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Isaac Ungor was a one-man wrecking crew as he picked up 138 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in receiving touchdowns (two).

Several Sabercats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Izak Wallis, who rushed for 173 yards while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. San Tan Foothills also got help from Josiah Gutierrrz, who showed off his sure hands for 137 receiving yards.

The win got Shadow Mountain back to even at 2-2. As for San Tan Foothills, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Shadow Mountain will be playing at home against Kingman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for San Tan Foothills, they have already played their next game, a 40-6 loss against Sabino on the 18th.
