Baseball Recap: Monroe Catholic Rams vs. West Valley Wolf Pack

Monroe Catholic had lost three straight at home, but on Monday they dropped down to 1-6-1 to make it four. They lost 18-4 to the West Valley Wolf Pack. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 10-6 to the Wolf Pack when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Monroe Catholic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon MacNaughton, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

West Valley's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their one-run performance the contest before.

On West Valley's side, Hudson Wixom made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Wixom was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, West Valley got a massive performance out of Finn Lindsey, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs Lindsey has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Ethan Gray, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one double.

Coincidentally, Monroe Catholic and West Valley will both be playing North Pole the next time they take the field. The Wolf Pack will head out to face the Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Rams will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
