Minco gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They put the hurt on the Hinton Comets with a sharp 21-9 victory. The Bulldogs not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 29, 2024.

Dason McMurtrey and Landon McMahon were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, McMurtrey pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, McMahon tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, McMurtrey gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024. At the plate, McMurtrey scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all six of his plate appearances, while McMahon scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances. McMurtrey has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

In other batting news, Paden Ferguson was incredible, getting on base in five of his six plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was AJ Brady, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Minco has already played their next matchup (against Dibble), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hinton also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Chattanooga.
