Baseball Game Preview: Oberlin Phoenix vs. Black River Pirates

Oberlin is 0-10 against Black River since May of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Phoenix will head out on the road to face off against the Pirates at 5:00 p.m. Oberlin has given up an average of 12 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Oberlin lost 20-6 to Columbia on Monday.

Drew Walter made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Chris Hanmer also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Black River waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the Patriots as they made off with a 15-5 victory. The matchup marked the Pirates' most dominant win of the season so far.

Black River's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Oberlin, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
