Recap: La Quinta Blackhawks vs. Palm Desert Aztecs
The La Quinta Blackhawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They were dealt a 83-50 loss at the hands of Palm Desert. La Quinta has not had much luck with Palm Desert recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Palm Desert got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Wil Wilson out in front who scored 23 points along with four steals. Coby Christensen was another key contributor, scoring 26 points along with three steals.
La Quinta has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 15 of their last 16 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season. As for Palm Desert, they pushed their record up to 21-4 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. La Quinta will take on Palm Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Palm Springs is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 12 games. As for Palm Desert, they will head out on the road to face off against Rancho Mirage at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Rancho Mirage is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
