Basketball Recap: Minnesota Valley Lutheran's Run of Three Straight Wins Now Over

Minnesota Valley Lutheran was the 89-62 winner over Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Minnesota Valley Lutheran Chargers'2024 ended with an 82-65 defeat against the Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton Bulldogs on Thursday. The Chargers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Minnesota Valley Lutheran now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton, their victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Minnesota Valley Lutheran won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against New Ulm at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Minnesota Valley Lutheran knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully New Ulm likes a good challenge. As for Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Maple River at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Maple River will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton surely won't give up without a fight.
