Basketball Game Preview: Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks vs. Jefferson County Tigers + How To Watch

For the first time this season, Port St. Joe will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing at home against the Jefferson County Tigers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

After dropping their season opener at home, Jefferson County is headed out to face a Tiger Sharks team ready to give their home crowd a win. Port St. Joe was beaten by Marianna 54-12 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Tiger Sharks in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jefferson County). They took down Wakulla Christian School 35-20 on Thursday.

Jefferson County's win came from a few key players Port St. Joe will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Hope Steen, who posted 13 points. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last seven games she's played dating back to last season. Jakeria James was another key player, putting up three points along with 11 rebounds and seven steals.
