Basketball Recap: Keaton Humphrey's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Blue Valley Northwest over Lee's Summit North

Blue Valley Northwest has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 50-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lee's Summit North Broncos. The match marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Huskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Keaton Humphrey, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave Humphrey a new career-high in boards. Ayden Mcgibboney was another key player, going 6 for 14 en route to 13 points.

Blue Valley Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Lee's Summit North, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
