Basketball Game Preview: Shawnee Wolves vs. Guthrie Bluejays

The Shawnee Wolves will head out to take on the Guthrie Bluejays at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shawnee will be strutting in after a victory while Guthrie will be coming in after a loss.

Shawnee took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 54-33 margin over Bishop Kelley. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Guthrie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 59-34 to Claremore.

Shawnee moved to 13-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Guthrie, their loss dropped their record down to 0-13.

Everything came up roses for Shawnee against Guthrie in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 68-20 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Shawnee since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
