Soccer Game Preview: Lake Minneola vs. Forest

The Lake Minneola Hawks will face off against the Forest Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Minneola is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.

Last Friday, Lake Minneola and The Villages Charter finished up their game with a 2-2 draw.

Jordan Hernandez and Luis Contreras scored both of Lake Minneola's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Forest). Their defense stepped up to hand North Marion a 4-0 shutout last Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

Lake Minneola's draw gives them a new season record of 4-4-4. As for Forest, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Lake Minneola beat Forest 3-1 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Will Lake Minneola repeat their success, or does Forest have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
