Softball Recap: Windsor Central Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Windsor Central was the 13-8 winner over Owego Free Academy when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Black Knights lost 13-6 to the River Hawks on Thursday.

Addyson Guarino was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with four runs and one triple. Ashlee Hagerman was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Windsor Central's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2. As for Owego Free Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windsor Central will take on Maine-Endwell at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Owego Free Academy, they will square off against Norwich at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup will give the River Hawks their first taste of in-conference action this season.
