Soccer Game Preview: Stanton vs. Bishop Kenny

The Stanton Blue Devils will head out on the road to take on the Bishop Kenny Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Stanton comes in on three and Bishop Kenny on ten.

Stanton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let Vanguard onto the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Give the Blue Devils' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Caroline Joiner, who's now up to ten this season.

Meanwhile, Bishop Kenny got the win against Wakulla on Friday by a conclusive 6-0. Considering the Crusaders have won eight games by more than three goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Bishop Kenny pushed their record up to 15-2-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five matchups. As for Stanton, their victory bumped their record up to 15-8.

Stanton might still be hurting after the 4-0 defeat they got from Bishop Kenny in their previous matchup back in January. Can Stanton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
