Basketball Recap: Grants Skates Past Bernalillo with Ease

Grants won against Zuni last Wednesday with 80 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Grants Pirates claimed a resounding 80-45 win over the Bernalillo Spartans. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Pirates have posted against the Spartans since December 13, 2016.

Grants' win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-8. As for Bernalillo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grants will challenge Valencia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Grants knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Valencia likes a good challenge. As for Bernalillo, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hope Christian at 7:00 p.m. Hope Christian will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Bernalillo surely won't give up without a fight.
