Soccer Recap: Westminster Christian Takes a Loss

Westminster Christian and Palmer Trinity squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Westminster Christian had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Palmer Trinity Falcons by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty eight goals in the game before, the Warriors couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Carolina Escobio, who's now up to five this season.

Westminster Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5-3. As for Palmer Trinity, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-4-3.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Westminster Christian will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Saint Andrew's at 5:00 p.m. on February 11th. Palmer Trinity will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against True North Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 11th. Palmer Trinity is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.7 goals per game this season.
