Basketball Recap: Shawnee Takes a Loss

Shawnee was the 55-44 winner over Kenton Ridge when they last played one another on December 4th, but their luck changed this time around. The Shawnee Braves were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 35-34 to the Kenton Ridge Cougars. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shawnee's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Kenton Ridge, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5.

Shawnee and Kenton Ridge could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Shawnee (ranked 691st) will meet North Union (ranked 150th) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Kenton Ridge will square off against Southeastern Local at 7:30 p.m. on Monday down 494 places (621 vs. 127).
