Basketball Recap: Maddox Benge Key Part of Team Effort in Saints Win

There's no place like home for LKY, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against the Evansville HomeSchool R Racers by a score of 66-54 on Saturday. The Saints haven't had any issues with the Racers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

LKY's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maddox Benge, who shot 45% from the field on his way to 16 points. Nate Armani also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Several Racers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nolan Oldham, who posted 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Oldham is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Jolly, who earned 14 points along with six boards and three blocks.

The win got LKY back to even at 2-2. As for Evansville HomeSchool R, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.

Coming up, LKY will square off against Iroquois at 7:30 p.m. on December 1. As for Evansville HomeSchool R, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Tournament Opponent on December 5.
