Softball Recap: The Woodlands Comes Up Short

The Woodlands was the 8-7 winner over Willis when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Highlanders took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildkats on Saturday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The Woodlands' defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Willis, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-6.

The Woodlands has already played their next match, a 5-4 victory against Caney Creek on the 1st. As for Willis, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 16-1 win against Cleveland on the 1st.
