Basketball Recap: Apalachee Takes a Loss

Apalachee suffered their biggest defeat since January 12, 2024 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 83-54 loss at the hands of the Habersham Central Raiders. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now lost five in a row.

Apalachee's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Habersham Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Apalachee will square off against Winder-Barrow at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Winder-Barrow will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Apalachee surely won't give up without a fight. As for Habersham Central, they will venture away from home to take on Clarke Central at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Habersham Central is facing Clarke Central at the right time seeing as Clarke Central is stuck on a 15-game losing streak.
