Basketball Game Preview: Vintage Crushers vs. Sonoma Valley Dragons

The Vintage Crushers will face off against the Sonoma Valley Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vintage will be strutting in after a win while Sonoma Valley will be coming in after a defeat.

Vintage will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Petaluma, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Vintage simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Petaluma 68-37.

Meanwhile, Sonoma Valley lost to Terra Linda at home by a 68-54 margin on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 759th, while the Trojans are ranked 251st).

Vintage's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-13. As for Sonoma Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.

Vintage came up short against Sonoma Valley in their previous meeting on January 6th, falling 67-59. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Sonoma Valley's Vinny Girish, who shot 4-for-6 from deep and dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards.
