Volleyball Recap: Saegertown Comes Up Short

The Saegertown Panthers came up short against the Conneaut Area Eagles on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Saegertown was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-18, 25-13.

Leading Conneaut Area to victory were Natalie Samuels and Carmen Bowman. Samuels had five digs and three aces, while Bowman had three digs and one assist. Those three aces gave Samuels a new career-high.

Saegertown's loss dropped their record down to 5-5-1. As for Conneaut Area, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Saegertown is set to challenge their familiar foe Cambridge Springs at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Conneaut Area will square off against rival Maplewood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
