Volleyball Recap: George Washington Comes Up Short

George Washington lost against Thomas Jefferson back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Patriots fell 3-1 to the Spartans. The Patriots just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

George Washington started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-14, 25-21, 25-18.

George Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Thomas Jefferson, they moved to 6-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. George Washington is set to square off against their familiar foe Hinkley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Thomas Jefferson will challenge rival Vista PEAK Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
