 Nestucca scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Friday. They blew past the Vernonia Loggers 27-13. The result was nothing new for Nestucca, who have now won four games by 13  runs or more  so far this season.
 Nestucca got a  massive  performance out of  Kyla Hurliman, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all six of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  McKenna McDonald, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in five of her six plate appearances.
 On Vernonia's side,  Chloe Schaumburg stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored three  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Vittoria Venditti, who  scored two  runs and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 The  victory  made it two in a row for Nestucca and  bumps their season record up to 4-5. As for Vernonia, they  haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
 Nestucca will head out on the road to  challenge  Portland Christian at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Vernonia, they will be playing at home against Clatskanie at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
