Baseball Recap: Beloit Memorial Takes a Loss

Beloit Memorial lost against Burlington back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Purple Knights took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Demons. The Purple Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Callen Espinoza was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Brenin Pearson was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Beloit Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Burlington, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Beloit Memorial is set to take on their familiar foe Wilmot at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Burlington will face off against rival Westosha Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
