Independence put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Page Patriots a 7-0 shutout. The Eagles have beaten the Patriots the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Patriots has come to flipping the script.

Independence pushed their record up to 21-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Page, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-13.

Coincidentally, Independence and Page will both be playing Rockvale the next time they take the field. The Patriots will host Rockvale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Eagles will head out to face them on Monday.
