Softball Game Preview: Rainier Beach Vikings vs. Ingraham Rams

Rainier Beach is 0-10 against Ingraham since April of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. Rainier Beach has given up an average of 20 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Rainier Beach came up short against Chief Sealth last Thursday, falling 19-1. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rainier Beach saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grace Kabatxi, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ingraham). Everything went their way against Cleveland last Thursday as they made off with a 26-10 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Rams needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Ingraham moved to 4-10 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Rainier Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Rainier Beach suffered a grim 20-2 defeat to Ingraham in their previous matchup on April 3rd. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
