Basketball Recap: Shining Rock Classical Academy Takes a Loss

Shining Rock Classical Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 57-8 loss at the hands of the Summit Charter Bears. The contest marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Sydney Sinclair had a dynamite game for Summit Charter, going 10 for 15 on her way to 20 points and seven steals. Sinclair is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Reeves, who posted 12 points along with seven steals and six boards.

Shining Rock Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Summit Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-10 record this season.

Shining Rock Classical Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Summit Charter has already played their next contest (against Robbinsville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
