Recap: Creekview Mustangs vs. Mansfield Timberview Wolves
On Wednesday, Creekview suffered a rough 71-45 defeat at the hands of Mansfield Timberview. While losing is never fun, Creekview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 542nd, while Mansfield Timberview is ranked 83rd).
Mansfield Timberview's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaden Marshall led the charge by scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jadyn Hollis, who scored eight points along with six assists.
Creekview's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Mansfield Timberview, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
Creekview is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Lamar at 8:00 p.m. on December 27th. Mansfield Timberview won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Fort Worth Christian at 2:00 p.m. on December 28th.
