Volleyball Recap: Gordon Lee Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Gordon Lee waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Dade County Wolverines by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Gordon Lee easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-11.

Emma Young paced Gordon Lee's offense, picking up nine kills. Young got some help from Whitney Blaylock and her 14 assists. Young also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kynidie Gaffin, racking up two apiece.

Gordon Lee's victory bumped their record up to 23-7. As for Dade County, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-10.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Gordon Lee is set to square off against their familiar foe Chattooga at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Dade County will take on rival Darlington at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
