Baseball Game Preview: Othello Huskies vs. Selah Vikings

The Othello Huskies will head out on the road to face off against the Selah Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Othello's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so Selah's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Saturday, Othello made easy work of Ephrata and carried off a 16-1 win. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by eight runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Selah unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of East Valley by a score of 3-2.

Othello is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Selah, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

Othello came out on top in a nail-biter against Selah in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, sneaking past 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
