Sandhills Valley was the 50-36 winner over Twin Loup when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Sandhills Valley Mavericks took a 37-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Twin Loup Wolves. The Mavericks' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Twin Loup's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Yahya Harris, who posted 15 points along with six boards and four blocks. The game was Harris' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Emmett Sortum was another key player, putting up seven points and 12 rebounds.

Sandhills Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Twin Loup, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Sandhills Valley will head out to square off against Maxwell on Friday. Sandhills Valley is facing Maxwell at the right time seeing as Maxwell is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Twin Loup, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 54-52 defeat against Riverside on the 21st.
