Soccer Game Preview: Thatcher vs. Benjamin Franklin

The Thatcher Eagles are headed away from home for the first time to square off against the Benjamin Franklin Chargers at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Friday just wasn't the day for Thatcher's offense. They came up short against Casteel on Friday, falling 9-0.

Meanwhile, Benjamin Franklin didn't have quite enough to beat Casteel on Friday and fell 2-1. The Chargers have struggled against the Colts recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Thatcher's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Benjamin Franklin, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Thatcher came up short against Benjamin Franklin when the teams last played back in January of 2022, falling 3-1. Can Thatcher avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
