Community Christian and New Life Christian Academy are an even 3-3-1 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Community Christian Cyclones will challenge the New Life Christian Academy Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. New Life Christian Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Community Christian, who comes in off a win.

Community Christian was handed a eight-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Greenville Christian Academy, sneaking past 4-3. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cyclones as it put an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Colby Barnhill made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Barnhill was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Tyler Spivey was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, New Life Christian Academy suffered their biggest defeat since April 15, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 28-0 to Bethel Christian Academy. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost three in a row.

New Life Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Community Christian, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
