Volleyball Recap: Carver High School of Engineering & Science Takes a Loss

If Carver High School of Engineering & Science was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Academy at Palumbo on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Carver High School of Engineering & Science lost 3-0 to the Abington Galloping Ghosts on Thursday. The match marked the first time this season in which Carver High School of Engineering & Science was not able to get on the board.

Carver High School of Engineering & Science was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Abington work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-10, 25-12.

Carver High School of Engineering & Science's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Abington, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carver High School of Engineering & Science will venture away from home to face off against George Washington at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Abington, they will face off against Wissahickon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
