Granada Hills Charter is 6-1 against Taft since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Granada Hills Charter Highlanders will look to defend their home pitch against the Taft Toreadors at 5:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Last Tuesday, Granada Hills Charter came up short against Birmingham and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, the Highlanders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while the Patriots are ranked sixth).

Meanwhile, Taft came up short against El Camino Real on Wednesday, falling 4-1.

This is the second loss in a row for Granada Hills Charter and nudges their season record down to 9-7. As for Taft, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
