Basketball Recap: Chisum Comes Up Short

After flying high against Prairiland last Friday, Chisum came back down to earth. The Chisum Mustangs took a 62-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lone Oak Buffaloes on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Buffaloes: they've now lost five in a row.

Chisum's defeat dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Lone Oak, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-14.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Rains the next time they take the court. Chisum will host Rains at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Lone Oak will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
