Cerro Gordo/Bement is headed into Saturday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They took a blow against Clinton, falling 66-29. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 615th, while the Maroons are ranked 178th).

Meanwhile, Central A & M lost 51-29 to Tuscola on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost four in a row.

Central A & M's defeat dropped their record down to 10-19. As for Cerro Gordo/Bement, their loss dropped their record down to 6-21.
