Baseball Recap: Sioux Central Comes Up Short

If Sioux Central was riding high fresh off their 15-5 takedown of Cherokee Washington on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rebels lost 13-7 to the South Central Calhoun Titans on Friday. The Rebels' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Sioux Central's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-6. As for South Central Calhoun, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Coming up, Sioux Central will head out to take on Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rebels are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for South Central Calhoun, they will challenge Northwest Webster at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Titans will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: the Cougars will have lost seven straight heading into Monday's game.
