Soccer Recap: Statesville Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against North Wilkes last Tuesday, Statesville came back down to earth. The Greyhounds came up short against the Alexander Central Cougars on Monday, falling 4-1. Statesville have struggled against Alexander Central recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Statesville's goal came courtesy of Jayko Morelia, which was the first he's scored this season.

Statesville's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Alexander Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Coming up, Statesville will head out to square off against St. Stephens at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Alexander Central, they will face off against Ashe County at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
