Jesuit dropped down to 9-5 on Wednesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Westview Wildcats by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Crusaders couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Westview, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since March 24th.

For Westview's part, Malachi O'Brien was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. O'Brien also tossed no walks, which is notable because Westview is 3-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 5-8 otherwise. O'Brien was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Pi Barker, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

While Jesuit had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
