Basketball Recap: Hicksville Comes Up Short

Hicksville lost against Montpelier back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Hicksville Aces lost 57-36 to the Montpelier Locomotives. While losing is never fun, the Aces can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 631st, while the Locomotives are ranked 220th).

Hicksville's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Montpelier, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hicksville will take on Liberty Center at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Montpelier, they will square off against Tinora at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Montpelier will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
