Baseball Game Preview: Bowie Jackrabbits vs. Jacksboro Tigers

The Bowie Jackrabbits will face off against the Jacksboro Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Bowie 2.9, Jacksboro 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Last Tuesday, Bowie came up short against Jacksboro and fell 9-5. The Jackrabbits have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

For Jacksboro's part, Cannon Valenzuela made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits Valenzuela has allowed since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Lochlan Pardue was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Kase Dennis was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

The victory (which was Jacksboro's fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.6 runs. As for Bowie, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.
