Baseball Recap: Corbett Comes Up Short

After flying high against Banks on Monday, Corbett came back down to earth. The Cardinals fell just short of the Westside Christian Eagles by a score of 6-4 on Wednesday. The Cardinals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 6-4.

Corbett's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-9. As for Westside Christian, they moved to 8-10 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coming up, Corbett will look to defend their home field on Friday against Umpqua Valley Christian at 1:00 p.m. As for Westside Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Rainier at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
