Football Game Preview: Appling County Pirates vs. Hapeville Charter Hornets + How To Watch

The Appling County Pirates will face off against the Hapeville Charter Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Appling County is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.

Appling County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 31-20 victory over Hart County. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 206th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Jaiden Knight and Faustino Rangel. Knight had a great game and rushed for 158 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Meanwhile, Rangel was balling out in the loss, rushing for 207 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hapeville Charter). They never let Columbus get on the board and left with a 48-0 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won five matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
