Softball Recap: Glenville-Emmons Comes Up Short

Madelia hit Glenville-Emmons with a 14-run fourth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wolverines lost 16-1 to the Blackhawks. The loss continues a trend for the Wolverines in their meetings with the Blackhawks: they've now lost seven in a row.

Glenville-Emmons saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Libby Bell, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Glenville-Emmons' defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Madelia, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-13.

Glenville-Emmons wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-3 loss against Grand Meadow/Kingsland/LeRoy-Ostrander on the 16th. Madelia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
