Recap: Jordan Beetdiggers vs. Stansbury Stallions
The Jordan Beetdiggers entered their tilt with the Stansbury Stallions with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Jordan came out on top against Stansbury by a score of 39-30 on Wednesday. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up seven more assists than your opponent, as Jordan did.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jordan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tess Jacobson, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Claire Todacheeny was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Despite the loss, Stansbury saw an underclassman step up: Bryn leigh Jones scored seven points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Apisi Maile, who scored six points.
Jordan has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season. As for Stansbury, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Jordan will be playing in front of their home fans against Park City at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Park City is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Stansbury, they will head out on the road to face off against Cottonwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cottonwood is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.4 points per game.
