Softball Recap: Spring Valley Comes Up Short

Spring Valley fell victim to Sumter and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 15-0 to the Sumter Gamecocks. The Vikings were not able to make up for their defeat to the Gamecocks from their previous meeting back in April of 2019.

Spring Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eryn Wright, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Spring Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Sumter, they moved to 6-3-1 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Spring Valley has already played their next game, a 17-12 defeat against South Pointe on the 12th. As for Sumter, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 14-4 victory against Spring Valley on the 13th.
