Basketball Recap: Lake Orion's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Lake Orion was the 67-44 winner over Avondale when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The matchup between the Lake Orion Dragons and the Avondale Yellowjackets didn't end well, with the Lake Orion Dragons falling 57-39.

Avondale got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Amaria Daniel out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 boards. Sasha McClellan was another key player, putting up 14 points and five steals.

Lake Orion's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1. As for Avondale, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Lake Orion didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 39-31 defeat against Brighton on the 7th. As for Avondale, they will challenge Athens at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
