Saline and Castor are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Saline Bobcats challenge Castor Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Saline knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Castor likes a good challenge.

Saline made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Summerfield, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Saline put the hurt on Summerfield with a sharp 24-6 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won three matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 16 runs the game before, Castor was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They came up short against Quitman, falling 11-1.

Saline is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 14.7 runs. Castor's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-6.

Saline might still be hurting after the 14-4 loss they got from Castor when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Can Saline avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
