Baseball Recap: Ripon Wins Going Away Against Beyer

Ripon made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Beyer, but still couldn't quite topple them. The Ripon Indians blew past the Beyer Patriots 9-2 on Wednesday. The Indians' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Brayden McDowell was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Martinez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

The victory snapped Ripon's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record. As for Beyer, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Ripon will be playing in front of their home fans against Manteca at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Manteca is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Beyer, they will head out on the road to take on Modesto at 3:30 p.m. on March 7th.
