After starting their season with two straight games on the road, Anson is finally coming home. They will be defending their home-fieldthey go up against the Dublin Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Anson will be strutting in after a victory while Dublin will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, everything went Anson's way against Archer City as Anson made off with a 50-28 win.
Meanwhile, Dublin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by Millsap on the road and fell 42-13.
Although Dublin took the loss, they still got scores from Francisco Garcia and Alex Teten.
Dublin wouldn't let Millsap keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force four fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Cayson Loving, Christian Mendez, and Fernando Esparza picked up one apiece. Esparza also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making five total tackles (1.0 for loss).
Anson's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Dublin, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
